Eildon enjoys an enviable hilltop location with panoramic views from Stradbroke Island across the City out to Mount Glorious. The form of the house is an expression of the complex site which drops 15 metres from the north towards the City. The site is punctuated by a significant Fig Tree upon entry and an infinity edge swimming pool to the south, which serves to recalibrate the land to create an enviable outdoor living environment for the family. A restrained but rich palette of timber and stone juxtaposed against the black and white interior defines a series of open plan spaces and voids, all punctuated by strategically positioned skylights. A crafted timber screen upon entry offers an engaging and warm reception to visitors by day or by night.
